Vijay has significant experience in advising local and international businesses on restructures, financial, Corporate Law, compliance and taxation matters.
Vijay has considerable experience in advising businesses both domestically and internationally, financial institutions and Banks including Investment Banks. He practices in the areas of regulatory compliance, audit, international taxation, business advisory services and merchant banking. He was involved in the training of senior officers with the IRD in India. He is a Fellow member of Financial Service Institute of Australasia (FINSIA).
He has in the past advised Financial Institutions and Investment banks in setting up Risk Management Framework, AML procedures and Corporate governance.
Vijay has authored publications on international taxation; capital markets and has a special expertise in the banking sector. Vijay is a qualified Chartered Accountant from three countries - New Zealand, Australia and India.
His outside involvement includes Chairman of the Board of Trustees of HOPE, a health foundation and settlement group for people with special needs.
Vijay likes reading about New Zealand and International economies.
Vijay has been a keen Cricket player in the past, but today prefers to play from the sideline and is a keen All Blacks and Blacks Caps supporter.
Vijay is also a provisional licensed immigration advisor.
